Post Secondary Transition

Audience:          Parents and educators

Details:               Post Secondary transition planning for students with disabilities should facilitate movement
                             from school to post-school activities, including post secondary education; vocational education;
                             integrated employment; adult services; independent living and community participation.

                             This presentation will provide participants with:
                             1. Summary of current IDEA requirements related to post secondary transition planning
                             2. Overview of planning activities which support effective transition within the context
                                 of the IEP process
                             3. Recommendations for increasing the quality and effectiveness of all components
                                 of transition planning

Professional Development Registration Process

All registrations for State Support Team Region 11 professional development training will be completed through the System to Achieve Results for Students (STARS). STARS is the Ohio Department of Education's web-based system used by educators and others to register themselves for SST11 professional development opportunities and other training opportunities throughout the state.

To access STARS you must setup an individual Secure Application for Enterprise (SAFE) account. Please use the link below and follow procedures listed.

Click "I am a new SAFE user" and follow the instructions.
