SST 11’s Joe Farry assist school districts and other agencies in providing a quality and coordinated plan for students transitioning from secondary education. He also:
• Coordinates Regional Secondary Transition Councils composed of parents/family
representatives, secondary and post-secondary service agency representatives,
local education agencies (LEAs), and other secondary transition stakeholders and
interested parties.
• Works closely with LEAs to provide training and technical assistance in the transition
component of the IEP process, secondary transition planning, and related issues.
• Works with parents and family representatives and stakeholders as needed to assist
in the post-secondary transition planning and implementation.
• Monitors compliance and quality of the transition planning and implementation process
in SST 11.
• Works with LEAs and other stakeholders to improve the transition process component
of the IEP.
• Collects and reports on SST 11 secondary transition-related data to regional stakeholders.
