The work of the State Support Team - Region 11 is based around the Tri-Tiered Model for School Improvement Support.

Tier 1 – Intensive Services:  SST11 is to provide data-determined High Quality Technical Assistance to district and instructional leaders of districts with buildings in “School Improvement” status and districts in “District Improvement” status through an effective coaching model so districts have the capacity to plan and implement school improvement processes that close achievement gaps in reading, math and sub-group performance Tier 2 – Targeted Services:  SST11 is to provide data-determined High Quality Technical Assistance to district and instructional leaders of districts with buildings in “At Risk” status through periodic assistance so districts have the capacity to plan and implement school improvement processes that close the achievement gaps in reading, math and sub-group performance Tier 3 – Universal Access:  SST11 is to provide access to select data-determined products and programs to district and instructional leaders to build regional capacity so districts can close the achievement gaps in reading, math and sub-group performance Type of professional development for teachers in public school districts, that is aligned with goals of school district’s CCIP, is sustained and ongoing, and is focused on higher student achievement levels The process of enacting the focused plan, reviewing progress of implementation and impact, and adjusting the plan when needed as data informs the process The process of collecting, reviewing, and dissecting multiples sources of data to determine specific areas of need, potential strategies, and the impact of school improvement efforts The process of prioritizing needs and developing specific strategies, action steps, timelines and performance measures for each The process of reviewing, assessing, and applying proven strategies to address data-determined needs Tools for making the most of district resources Compliance Responsive Technical Assistance/Professional Development to Achieve Compliance Proactive Technical Assistance/Professional Development to Avoid Non-Compliance The mission of the Central Ohio Regional School Improvement Team is to help districts in Priority 1 status build the capacity
to plan and implement school improvement processes that close achievement gaps in reading, math and sub-group performance,
using the following strategies:

 

Curriculum

Evaluate, plan and design curriculum that is rigorous
and aligned to Ohio's Academic Content Standards

Assessment

Formative and summative assessment that is
aligned to Ohio's Academic Content Standards
so every student succeeds

Instruction

Instruction that is research-based, culturally responsive, differentiated and aligned to Ohio's Academic Content Standards so every student succeeds

Condition/Climate

Create safe and supportive teaching
and learning environments

Leadership

School improvement processes that lead
to increased learning for all students

Value-Added Presentation
Value-Added, a component of Ohio's accountability system,
measures growth or improvement over a period of time to
determine the "value" gained by a student during that time period.
