The No Child Left Behind Act of 2001 (NCLB) requires that all elementary and secondary teachers in public school districts (city, exempted village and local, JVSDs, ESCs, chartered community schools and the Department of Youth Services) participate in High-Quality Professional Development (HQPD) each school year.

The Ohio Department of Education is required to report annually the percentage of Ohio teachers who have participated in HQPD.

State Support Team - Region 11 (SST) is committed to providing central region educators with the highest level of professional development, in conjunction with ODE's Tri-Tiered Model for School Improvement Support.
