The National Dropout Prevention for Students with Disabilities (NDPC-SD) is pleased to announce the release of three new reports that address school reentry. The reports examine the issues around reentry, some of the options available for youth to reenter school, strategies for locating and reenrolling out-of-school youth, and the characteristics of some existing reentry programs. APPLE:Ohio (Assessing Preschool Professionals’ Learning Experiences) research study is seeking early childhood teachers to enroll each fall from 2010 through 2013. This study will help determine the impact of professional development on early childhood teaching and learning.

LEARNet (http://www.projectlearnet.org/) is a problem-solving system designed by the Brain Injury Association of New York State to help identify useful procedures for helping students with brain injury in school and at home. LEARNet enables families and school staff to create effective intervention and support plans for students with TBI.

The Eugene Oregon office of the Teaching Research Institute has changed our name to better reflect the work we do in the field of traumatic brain injury (TBI). Formerly known as The Teaching Research Institute – Eugene, we are now the Center on Brain Injury Research and Training (CBIRT).
